The University of Liverpool in UK invites applications for the Liverpool International College (LIC) First Class Scholarship open to non-EU international students who have progressed from LIC to a non-clinical, undergraduate degree programme at the University of Liverpool for 2018/2019 academic year.
The Liverpool International College (LIC) First Class Award is available to non-EU international students who have progressed from LIC to a non-clinical, undergraduate degree programme at the University of Liverpool who achieve an overall average of 70% or above in any year of study excluding final year.
Worth of Award
International (non-EU) fee-paying students who achieve an overall average of 70% or over will receive £1,000 off tuition fees each year of their (non-clinical) degree at the University of Liverpool excluding final year.
Eligibility
  • be liable to pay full tuition fees at the overseas rate
  • be continuing on a non-clinical undergraduate programme
  • have achieved an overall average of 70% or over in any year at the University of Liverpool (excluding final year) after progressing from LIC

  • You do not need to make an application to receive the LIC First Class Award.
  • The relevant award will be automatically allocated to all eligible students.

Politics and International Relations PhD Scholarships at University of Westminster in UK, 2018

The Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Westminster offers studentships for prospective PhD students, starting in September 2018/2019 academic year.
Located in the heart of London, the Department has an active research culture led by the internationally recognised Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD), of which the International Eco-Cities Initiative is a part.
Applications are sought from high-quality prospective doctoral students who will contribute to at least one of the core areas of research within the Centre for the Study of Democracy listed below. The first two are of particular relevance to the International Eco-Cities Initiative.

Worth of Award
Applications are invited for the following awards, which are tenable for up to three years for full-time study:
  • One fee waiver (Home/EU rate) and £16,000 per year for three years
  • Up to two fee waivers (Home/EU rate) and £5,000 per year for three years
Please note that while overseas fee-paying students may apply, the fee waiver would be at the home/EU rate and successful applicants will need to pay the difference in the tuition fee if assessed as overseas.  Successful candidates will be expected to undertake some teaching duties as part of the studentship.

  3. Consider your funding options – are there any Studentship or Scholarships available to you or will you have to be applying as a self-funded student?
  4. What documents you will be required to upload with your UKPASS application:
    a) Research proposal of between 2,000 and 3,500 words (four to seven pages) in length. They recommend that you follow our guidance on writing a research proposal. Please note we will not be able to consider your application if you do not include your research proposal.
    (For a PhD by Publication, the proposal should be made using the same form, but not exceed 2,000 words.)
    b) Scanned copies of all your relevant qualification certificates and transcripts (if your award is pending, please upload the transcript of the modules already undertaken).
    c) If your secondary level education has not been conducted in the medium of English, you should also demonstrate evidence of appropriate English language proficiency, for example IELTS or TOEFL certificates.
